1. Overview

HYFW Series Pole Mounted Load Break Switch is designed for tripping off and making load current or overload current in power system, and it is able to isolate the fault section in distribution network. HYFW series is applied in electricity distribution network of rated voltage 12kV, 24kV, 40.5kV, rated current 630A, frequency 50Hz or 60Hz. Equipped with controller of state of the art, HYFW series is viable for manual operation, electric operation and operation modes of local and remote. The cabinet made of stainless steel makes it possible for the controller to work under various environmental conditions. Wired or wireless modem are optional for remote monitoring and control. HYFW series is advantageous in budget, simple in structure, and easy in pole mounting.

3. Features

▶SF6 Gas Insulation

SF6 is non-toxic, non-flammable insulation gas, with salient characteristic of arc extinguishing.

▶Variety of Bushing

Various options for bushing, besides the standard porcelain type, including the silicon rubber insulator for epoxy resin bushing.

▶Open/Closed State To Be Visible

Main contact indicator is clearly visible to the personnel on ground ( Green-Open, Red-Closed). The indicator is directly connected to main contact driving shaft to ensure that the indicator reflects the state of main contact accurately.

▶Fast Operation

Fast operations ( less than 1000ms) of opening and closing conducted by actuator with spring to store energy .

▶Operation Mode of Local or Remote

Both local operation and remote operation are viable, and remote operation by main console can be achieved through FTU/RTU panel.

▶Rugged Housing for Switchgear

The housing for switchgear is made of tough and anti-corrosion material (304L Stainless Steel) to provide long duration of lifetime (30 years), apt to a range of operations, with ideal characteristics for pole mounted device.


Each switchgear is filled with SF6 gas and hermetically sealed. Before leaving factory, each switchgear will be tested in accordance with criteria of IEC60265-1.
